    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Transaction Processing: Record financial transactions such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.

    + Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements, accounts, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy.

    + Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of basic financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements (Source: Robert Half).

    + Auditing Support: Provide necessary documentation and assistance during internal and external audits as needed.

    + Data Entry: Maintain accurate data records in accounting systems for tracking financial activities.

    + Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and regulatory standards.

    + Team Collaboration: Work with supervisors and team members to handle ad hoc tasks or projects, such as expense report reviews or budgeting exercises.

    + Problem-Solving: Identify and report discrepancies, and propose solutions to streamline processes.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (Source: Robert Half).

    + Experience: Internship experience or relevant coursework is a plus but not always required for entry-level roles.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is preferred.

    + Certifications (Optional): Pursuing CPA, ACCA, or other accounting certifications is highly regarded.
