Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in St Louis Earnings Tx, Missouri. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations and collaborate with a team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Handle sales tax filings and related documentation accurately and on time.

• Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

• Assist in preparing financial reports to support decision-making and planning.

• Ensure compliance with financial standards and tax laws in all accounting processes.

• Provide support during audits by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.

• Strong knowledge of sales tax processes and regulations.

• Proficiency in managing corporate tax returns and related documentation.

• Expertise in recording journal entries and maintaining general ledgers.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
