Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Financial Transactions
+ Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, using accounting software.
+ Verify, classify, and post financial data accurately.
+ Bank and Account Reconciliation
+ Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in records.
+ Payroll Processing
+ Assist with payroll preparation and ensure timely and accurate payroll submission.
+ Maintain records of employee work hours, earnings, and deductions.
+ Financial Reporting
+ Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other standard reports.
+ Generate regular reports for management to provide insights into company financial performance.
+ Budget and Expense Tracking
+ Monitor company expenses and assist in budget preparation.
+ Flag potential cost-saving opportunities and identify financial risks.
+ Compliance and Documentation
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
+ Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, invoices, and supporting documents.
+ Collaboration with Internal Teams
+ Work closely with management, accountants, and other departments to meet financial objectives.
+ Support audit and tax preparation processes as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
+ Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or related role.
+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
+ Understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
+ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
