    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    + Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Record day-to-day financial transactions using accounting software and ensure all ledgers are up to date and accurate.

    + Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

    + Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders, providing actionable insights.

    + Process Payroll: Calculate and process employee wages, taxes, and benefits as needed.

    + Handle Invoices and Payments: Manage billing, process payments, and track outstanding invoices.

    + Assist with Budgeting: Help create budgets and track spending to ensure financial goals align with company strategies.

    + Ensure Compliance: Monitor adherence to local, state, and federal laws regarding financial reporting and company recordkeeping.

    Requirements

    Skills and Qualifications

     

    + Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

    + Experience: Proven work experience in bookkeeping or a related role (typically 2+ years).

    + Technical Skills:

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).

    + Strong Excel skills for managing spreadsheets and financial data.

    + Soft Skills:

    + Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.

    + Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.

    + Excellent communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

    + Certifications: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus but not mandatory.
