Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Compensation: $250,000 – $400,000 + discretionary bonus
Employment Type: Full-Time, Fully Onsite
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and tenured Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join our dynamic performance-based organization in Downtown Los Angeles. This high-visibility role will directly report to the company’s Owner/Operator and is critical to ensuring the company’s technology strategy aligns with its business goals. As a strategic leader with a hands-on attitude, you will lead a robust IT team while serving as a bridge between our fast-paced owner and the IT department.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy to support long-term business goals.
+ Manage and mentor a team of 10 IT professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
+ Serve as a key advisor and buffer for the Owner/Operator on all technology-related matters.
+ Ensure the stability, security, and availability of all IT systems with minimal downtime.
+ Proactively address and resolve IT issues, sometimes rolling up your sleeves and digging into the details when necessary.
+ Maintain a 24/7 on-call availability for the Owner/Operator to ensure smooth technology operations.
+ Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and support business growth.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Tenure: Demonstrated professional commitment with 4+ years at previous companies (if short tenures exist, candidates should be prepared to explain the circumstances).
+ Executive Reporting: Experience reporting directly to an Owner/Operator within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
+ Industry Experience: Proven success working in a performance-based organization.
+ Revenue Scale: Experience supporting mid-market companies with revenues ranging from $150M–$500M.
+ Team Leadership: Strong leadership background, managing teams of 10+ employees.
+ Proven track record of crafting and executing strategic IT initiatives while still being comfortable handling technical issues hands-on.
+ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to adapt and excel under pressure, with a polished and professional demeanor.

+ Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” attitude to resolve IT challenges proactively.
+ Polished and presentable for high-level engagements (button-down shirt and suit jacket required for interviews).
