Description
Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an interim CFO for our nonprofit client. This is a part time role (15-20 hours per week) and will require the candidate to be on-site at our client. This critical role will focus on managing financial aspects related to the organization's construction and development project, ultimately supporting its upcoming launch and ongoing operations. The expected term of the contract is 3-6 months.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting, financial forecasting, and strategic decision-making, ensuring the project remains on budget and on track for success. Experience in non-profit organizations is a plus, though not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations related to the organization's construction and development project.
- Manage forecasting and financial performance against project budgets.
- Prepare weekly cash forecasting reports and analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendors and construction-related expenses.
- Track project budget performance and support decision-making around change orders and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the CEO to provide financial insights and strategies for project execution.
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements generated by the accounting team.
- Provide ongoing strategic support by monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements • Proven experience as a CFO, controller, or similar senior financial leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and project budgeting.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee large-scale projects and manage financial planning.
• Expertise in vendor management and cash flow analysis.
• Exceptional analytical skills and a history of driving strategic financial decisions.
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial operations is highly desirable.
• Availability to work 15–20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with executive leadership.
