Description

Robert Half is looking for an entry-level entry level Accountant to join a growing accounting team in Truckee, CA. This is an open-ended contract position, ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic accounting environment. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work on various financial processes while contributing to the organization's success, working side by side with the Controller. This is an on-site role, located in Truckee, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain data integrity.

• Help with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and follow-ups.

• Prepare and post accounting entries in compliance with established guidelines.

• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.

• Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial documentation.

• Provide timely updates and reports to the accounting supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance

• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes.

• Ability to accurately prepare and post accounting entries.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in using accounting software or tools.

• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

• Enthusiasm for learning and growing in an accounting role.
