    Description

    My client has an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a role as an Accounting Manager in their Northern Virginia office. The ideal person selected for the Accounting Manager position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring the general ledger and respective accounts are updated appropriately in compliance, maintain internal controls, assist with audits, reconcile various accounts, produce supporting schedules, and prepare the financial statements amongst other duties as needed. This organization offers a flexible work schedule and great benefits; including medical.

    Daily responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include:

    • Oversee month-end close process.

    • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.

    • Prepare various schedules for support.

    • Maintain internal controls.

    • Reconcile general ledger accounts.

    • Ensure company is in compliance.

    Requirements

    The ideal Accounting Manager we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

    • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

    • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP

    • Experience with Deltek Costpoint

    • CPA, a plus

    • Communicate effectively to leadership
