Description

We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the west metro. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will excel in handling reconciliations, managing credit card transactions, and supporting month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform reconciliations for e-filing to ensure precision and consistency across financial records.

• Monitor and process credit card transactions while maintaining accurate tracking systems.

• Manage accounting request queues, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

• Reconcile bank accounts to verify alignment with general ledger balances.

• Prepare and post journal entries to accurately record financial activities.

• Support month-end close processes by ensuring all financial records are complete and accurate.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks to optimize workflows.

• Partner with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure efficient financial operations.

• Analyze general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and improving accounting processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in performing sales tax calculations and reporting.

• Strong experience in preparing and posting journal entries.

• Solid understanding of general ledger management and reconciliation.

• Expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Proven ability to reconcile accounts and bank statements accurately.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks.

• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
