Description

Lisa Cole with Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Roseville, California. This position plays a key role in managing complex financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and guiding less experienced accounting staff. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in real estate accounting, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead the month-end close process, preparing financial statements for a multi-entity organization.

+ Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare supporting documentation.

+ Manage bank account balances in alignment with liquidity and regulatory requirements.

+ Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliation reports.

+ Mentor and guide junior accountants, offering direction and development opportunities.

+ Assist with real estate transactions including acquisitions, bond financing, loan conversions, and asset sales.

+ Develop and maintain spreadsheets for expense allocations, lease accounting, and cost-sharing agreements.

+ Partner with project managers to reconcile job cost reports for predevelopment work.

+ Support external audits and tax return preparation by compiling financial data and analysis.

+ Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

+ 5+ years of accounting experience

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.

+ Demonstrated ability to produce accurate financial reports and reconcile complex accounts.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

+ Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
