Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records for a multi-state workforce, and assist with payroll tax responsibilities. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in payroll systems and a passion for delivering precise and timely results. This role is based in office 4 days per week, 1 day remote.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle various deductions, including garnishments, retirement contributions, and other employee benefits.
• Collaborate with HR teams and managers to maintain and update employee data in a timely manner.
• Conduct weekly audits of new hires, terminations, tax adjustments, direct deposit setups, and salary changes.
• Ensure proper calculation and tracking of accruals, addressing discrepancies as needed.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies through detailed research and effective problem-solving.
• Submit bi-weekly reports to retirement plan vendors and reconcile retirement fund contributions.
• Manage the timekeeping system to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Provide support for auditing processes and ensure payroll data integrity.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation for payroll and benefits processes.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll processing and related functions.
• Proficiency in using payroll and accounting software such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with 401(k) and RRSP administration and reconciliation.
• Ability to perform audits and resolve discrepancies with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with timekeeping systems and maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with HR teams and management.
