Description

Robert Half/Protiviti is currently looking for an experienced HR professional with experience writing and standardizing HR policies and procedures within large corporate entities. This role will support key initiatives related to policy development and organizational alignment as part of larger scale transformation efforts. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate across departments, ensuring policies are consistent, compliant, and reflective of the company’s values. The role requires a strategic thinker who can bring clarity and structure to complex projects while fostering collaboration among stakeholders. This is a 100% remote contract role working on a standard 9-5 EST schedule. Estimated contract duration is 1 year, but extensions are possible.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of existing policies to identify inconsistencies, redundancies, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and refine policies to align with organizational values, brand tone, and compliance standards.

• Create standardized templates and guidelines to ensure uniformity across all policy documents.

• Partner with teams such as HR, Legal, and Communications to ensure policies meet legal and operational requirements.

• Facilitate workshops and interviews with subject matter experts to gather insights and content.

• Translate complex regulatory or technical language into clear and accessible documentation for employees.

• Maintain an organized repository for policy documents, ensuring accessibility and proper version control.

• Monitor policy updates, track changes, and manage review cycles to ensure accuracy and relevance.

• Drive awareness and adoption of new policies through targeted communication and training initiatives.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in policy writing, editing, or related roles within a corporate or compliance setting.

• Strong expertise in policy frameworks, governance, and internal controls.

• Excellent writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, grammar, and consistency.

• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

• Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance standards.

• Ability to synthesize feedback and input into cohesive, user-friendly policy documents.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining documentation and version control.
