Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Camas, Washington. This long-term contract-to-hire position offers an excellent opportunity to manage financial transactions and maintain strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in handling accounts receivable tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable processes for a portfolio of approximately 450 customers, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding payments.
• Conduct collections by sending account statements and communicating with customers professionally to resolve payment issues.
• Process and code credit card payments accurately while adhering to company policies.
• Apply cash payments and reconcile cash activity to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with billing functions, ensuring invoices are issued correctly and promptly.
• Utilize basic general ledger (GL) accounting knowledge to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address questions or concerns regarding payment transactions.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable activities.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate reports as needed.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable operations, including collections and payment processing.
• Strong understanding of billing functions and cash application procedures.
• Proficiency in handling credit card payments and coding transactions.
• Familiarity with general ledger (GL) accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
