We are looking for a Sr. Purchasing Analyst & Buyer to join our client’s growing team! In this role, you will play a critical part in managing purchasing strategies, vendor relationships, and inventory processes to support manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Production, and Shipping, to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze and refine the receiving process to drive efficiency and accuracy.

• Issue purchase orders for raw materials and other production needs based on inventory requirements.

• Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, providing formal assessments and reports to relevant teams.

• Track and verify purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and accurate quantities.

• Assist in month-end and year-end inventory counts, including reconciliation of finished goods and raw materials.

• Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to optimize cost savings.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Shipping teams to address material requirements and ensure seamless operations.

• Support accounting functions by resolving invoice discrepancies and reconciling vendor statements.

• Utilize production software and analytical tools to improve purchasing and inventory processes.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of inventory assets across all manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Associate's, Bachelor's, or advanced degree in business, mathematics, economics, or a related field.

• Minimum of three years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related analytical role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar inventory management systems.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong understanding of inventory management and accounting practices within a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Proven ability to evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and analyze costs effectively.
