    Description

    Robert Half Legal is partnering with a boutique defense law firm in Century City to hire a Litigation Paralegal on a contract-to-hire basis.     Key Responsibilities

    + Assist attorneys with litigation case management, including document preparation and organization.

    + Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents.

    + Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategy.

    + Manage e-filing of legal documents in state and federal courts.

    + Organize and maintain case files to ensure timely access to all relevant documentation.

    + Support attorneys in preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.

    + Liaise with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel on case-related matters.

    + Track deadlines and maintain calendaring systems for case logistics.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a litigation-focused environment.

    + ABA-approved Paralegal Certification strongly preferred.

    + Solid understanding of California court rules, procedures, and e-filing processes.

    + Proficiency in legal research tools and software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, Microsoft Office Suite).

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
