    Description

    Our client—a rapidly growing, NYC venture capital firm, investing in the next generation of tech-enabled companies—is currently looking for a Finance & Operations Associate to join their collaborative team.

     

    In this key role, you'll partner closely with the VP of Finance to manage the financial backbone of the firm. From fund accounting and tax coordination to investment operations and reporting, you'll play an integral part in making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You'll also get involved in special projects and have the opportunity to grow as the firm grows.

    Responsibilities of this position will include:

    • Manage fund accounting, audits, and tax filings in coordination with external partners

    • Oversee liquidity planning, capital calls, and valuation processes

    • Support investment operations: wires, deal docs, record-keeping

    • Help track and analyze portfolio performance

    • Assist with LP reporting, internal dashboards, and fundraising materials

    • Evaluate and manage vendors and help optimize operational processes

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

    • Minimum 3 years of financial services public accounting, fund accounting, venture/private equity ops, or asset management experience

    • Understanding of GAAP, fund structure, capital call/distribution mechanics, and valuation (ASC 820)

    • Collaborative, detail-obsessed, proactive communicator with strong Excel skills
