Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reconciliations, reporting, and advanced Excel functionality to support our accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the general ledger.

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including bank and cash transactions.

• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely cash applications and collections.

• Utilize Oracle Fusion HCM SaaS for financial operations and reporting.

• Generate internal financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address banking and financial inquiries.

• Perform complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices in all financial activities.

• Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements • Proven experience in journal entries and maintaining a general ledger.

• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion HCM SaaS or similar accounting software.

• Strong skills in accounts receivable and cash application processes.

• Expertise in account reconciliations, including bank and cash transactions.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

• Ability to produce accurate internal financial reports.

• Experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.

• Familiarity with banking operations and financial compliance standards.
