Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable, client billing, and general accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with financial policies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to process improvements and maintain accurate financial records.

This is a direct hire position with standard fulltime business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Manage vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and timely payment reconciliation for accounts payable.

• Ensure accurate preparation, review, and submission of client invoices in compliance with billing guidelines and agreements.

• Coordinate with attorneys and staff to gather billing information, resolve discrepancies, and address client inquiries.

• Process electronic payments, checks, and wire transfers while facilitating Integrated Payables.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues promptly to maintain accurate financial records.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial reports and handling 1099 reporting.

• Submit and track monthly electronic invoices, investigating and resolving payment delays or rejections.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable and billing processes, implementing best practices for efficiency.

• Support special financial projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with electronic payment systems, including checks, wire transfers, and Integrated Payables.

• Knowledge of client billing standards, legal billing guidelines, and financial policies.

• Ability to reconcile financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Proficiency in preparing financial reports and supporting month-end/year-end processes.

• Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate and compliant financial records.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
