Description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join their team in Roanoke, Virginia. This position plays a key role in overseeing financial operations, including accounting processes, procurement, accounts payable and receivable, and budget management. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, confidentiality, and technical expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of our financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the organization’s financial operations, including budget preparation, monthly reporting, cash flow forecasting, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, recording transactions, and generating payments.

• Prepare financial reports and materials for Executive leadership and the board of directors.

• Collaborate with the Executive team to oversee accounting functions such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and investment activities.

• Maintain accurate records of revenue, expenses, deposits, and credit card transactions within the general ledger system.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations by processing monthly admission tax and Virginia sales and use tax.

• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and support financial compliance and reporting.

• Manage the organization’s insurance coverage to protect assets, employees, and the public.

• Oversee petty cash funds and assist with cash reconciliation for client services and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience.

• Minimum of three years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or similar roles.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
