This posting is for an Administrative Associate II position in the District II Unit. This position serves as administrative support to the District office of Davie, Forsyth, and Stokes Counties. Duties include preparing documents and correspondence for construction projects, entering construction documents in SharePoint and HICAMS, preparing monthly construction meeting minutes, reviewing certified payrolls, answering District phones daily and Division phones when requested, scanning files and large plans, filing and maintaining construction files, assisting the public with any request via email, phone, and/or walk-in contact, and other clerical duties assigned by supervisors. This position also will assist with the processing of driveway permits, road addition/abandonments, site plans, and subdivisions. POS # 60020772
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
+ Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports.
+ Experience in record keeping.
+ Experience with letter writing, using correct spelling and punctuation, and proofreading.
Additional Expectations:
Effectively communicate technical knowledge with engineers, coworkers, and the public. Good communication skills are required in both verbal and written activities. Possess general mathematical skills, significant vocabulary/grammar skills for proofreading correspondence, reports, and other documents. Ability to schedule and coordinate a variety of appointments, meetings, and/or conferences. Applicant should be computer literate and possess experience using modern word processing, spreadsheet, email, and internet software. Customer service experience (over telephone, personal, and electronic) is strongly preferred. Candidates should possess excellent composition skills, attention to detail, and need for consistency with data entry and correspondence. Management prefers a candidate with customer service experience and a personable attitude. Must be able to work in an inside environment including being exposed to significant sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. The selected candidate will be expected to legally operate a motor vehicle.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
