Overview:
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is the largest community outpatient mental health provider in Westchester County, dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. We are currently seeking a full-time Clinician to join our Trager Lemp Center for Trauma & Resilience team. This role provides outpatient mental health services to persons who have been clinically impacted by crime and/or other traumatic life events. The work is with children and adults impacted by crime, including victims of sexual abuse and family violence, families affected by COVID and racial injustice, and those who are from the LGBT and undocumented communities.
This position is located in Peekskill and the salary range is $65,000 - $75,000
Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop written treatment plans with the client (collaborative documentation) in compliance with OMH regulations.
+ Provide appropriate clinical documentation and agency reports -- inclusive of electronic health records, monthly statistical reports, surveys, clinician’s schedule, etc. -- in a timely and appropriate manner.
+ Provide treatment in various modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy, for ongoing treatment cases.
+ Provide client crisis intervention, as needed.
+ Maintain necessary patient-related contacts with other agencies, outside service providers and community resources (courts, schools, etc.), including written and phone contact, and in-person visits as needed.
+ Professionally represent the agency at community meetings and in the media.
+ Consult with other members of the interdisciplinary team in a professional and collegial manner.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
+ LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT required
+ Experience with trauma-focused care, particularly for those impacted by violence or systemic trauma
+ Familiarity with evidence-based practices for both children and adults
+ Strong clinical, writing, organizational, and communication skills
+ Knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate care
+ Flexibility to work in community settings (e.g., homes, schools) when needed
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
