At NJM, we prioritize applicants looking to learn, collaborate and support our policyholders. We are seeking an attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation legal team with 3+ years of workers’ compensation litigation experience to defend formal claims venued in central/southern New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Defend the interests of NJM policyholders in New Jersey workers’ compensation court through the point of settlement or decision

+ Work with staff in the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents

+ Provide case recommendations, updates, and analysis to clients and internal Workers’ Compensation Claims staff

+ Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships

+ Perform other assigned duties

Job Requirements:

+ 3 or more years of prior litigation or legal experience. Workers’ compensation litigation experience preferred

+ Currently licensed to practice law in NJ

+ Analytical ability and strong attention to detail

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

+ Strong negotiation, communication, and legal research skills

+ Ability to travel within the state and cover multiple counties

Salary: $110,000 - $175,000 (Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials)

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $110,785-$131,872
