Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Full Time Materials Technician!
Provides high quality cost effective service to both internal and external customers. To support and incorporate the mission, vision, and values of CPMC in the workplace and in the community. The Materials Technician is responsible for the various aspects of the supply shipping and receiving functions for both internal and external customers. The position will also assist and provide coverage for replenishment activities as needed. This position is under the supervision and direction of the Materials Management Department Manager.
Major Job Duties & Responsibilities
Receives and processes shipments, records shipment data such as weight and charges using MMIS and other perpetual inventory systems in a timely fashion.
Requisitions and stores various items, equipment and supplies to maintain an appropriate inventory using MMIS and various inventory control systems.
Maintains various inventory, supply and equipment outdate and other information using Microsoft Excel and other software.
Distributes time sensitive, special order and other items to appropriate medical center departments in a timely fashion
Performs courier functions making deliveries or pick-ups as needed by the medical center and the various departments using a medical center provided vehicle.
Maintains packing supplies, prepares and packs items for shipment, determines appropriate shipping methods for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and cost effectiveness.
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work in a timely manner.
Performs backup replenishment functions interacting with customers and medical center staff using the AIDET customer service protocol, in a timely fashion
Participates in departments initiatives as applicable.
Prepare outgoing and sort incoming USPS mail.
Complete daily cycle counts.
Provides data entry support.

Knowledge of warehouse inventory and shipping and receiving procedures.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Good math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Experience
Experience with warehouse management and inventory systems.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes and documents.
Experience working in a complex medical center environment.
Educational Requirements
Per the needs of the department.
Schedule
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Montana Driver’s License
