    Job Description

    **Public Storage** is looking for a **Senior IT Service Desk Technician** to join our team. The Sr IT Service Desk Technician will provide level 2 telephone and service desk technical support to field and corporate users related to hardware, software, and network.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Resolve level 2 troubleshooting for connection, network issues, hardware problems, software errors, gate problems, phone/fax problems and escalate issues when needed.

    + Identify and troubleshoot system wide hardware, software or network issues and escalate as necessary.

    + Provides second level support and maintenance for complicated/integrated incidents.

    + Configure new or replace existing property computer hardware.

    + Evaluates risk potential and recommends solutions.

    + Contributes and/or leads various projects.

    + Support field and corporate employees in the use of web-based property management programs, accounts payable, and time-entry programs.

    + Assist property managers in resolving input errors.

    + Answer questions regarding proper use of property operations software.

    + Process password and proxy access requests.

    + Triage and open service desk tickets for messages, self-service and live incoming calls.

    + Run system performance and availability tests.

    + Verify daily LOA/Termination Reports, Daily Recaps, and DMPortal verifications.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Strong customer service orientation.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to handle high-stress situations and large call volumes.

    + Proficiency on PC Systems and related software.

    + Windows knowledge

    + Proficiency with web-based application concepts

    + Proficiency with basic networking concepts

    + Ability to complete tasks that are varied and require independent judgement.

    + Ability to create documents w/peer review.

Public Storage teammates are expected to work in the office five days each week with the option to take up to three flexible remote days per month.
