    Construction Manager (Transmission & Substation)

    **Location:** Newark, Delaware

    **Work Hours:** Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    **Contract:** 12 Months (potential to extend)

    **Pay Rate:** $73/hour

     

    We're seeking an experienced and dedicated **Mid-level Construction Manager** specializing in **Transmission & Substation projects** . In this critical role, you'll oversee and manage all construction activities for electrical transmission and substation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop and implement **project plans, schedules, and budgets** specifically for transmission and substation projects.

    + **Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers** to ensure all project requirements are met.

    + Manage construction progress and quality, guaranteeing **adherence to project specifications and industry standards** .

    + Procure necessary materials, equipment, and services for project execution.

    + Ensure **strict compliance with all safety regulations and standards** on construction sites.

    + Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including **reports, drawings, and specifications** .

    + Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.

    + Conduct regular **site meetings and inspections** .

    + Collaborate with project managers and senior management to effectively **address project risks and issues** .

    + Manage project budgets, costs, and resources efficiently.

    Requirements:

    + **3-5 years of experience as a Construction Manager.**

    + **2+ years of specific experience with Transmission/Substation projects.**

    + Extensive experience in **electric utility construction** , covering Transmission, Substation, and Distribution (above/underground).

    + **Proficient with computer software platforms** , including email, text, and various MS Office products (e.g., Teams).

    + Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal project tracking platforms, specifically **uPPM** .

    **Pay Details:** $73.00 per week
