Responsibilities for a Claims Examiner include but are not limited to:
+ Analyze and process **complex workers' compensation claims** , including **loss time claims** .
+ **Manage claims** through well-developed action plans to ensure timely resolution and **negotiate settlements** within designated authority.
+ **Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves** to claims, managing **reserve adequacy** throughout the life of the claim.
+ **Manage the litigation process** to ensure timely and cost-effective claims resolution, coordinating vendor referrals as needed.
Candidates for Claims Examiner must meet the following requirements to be considered:
+ **Mandatory work comp claims handling experience** , specifically with **loss time claims** .
+ **Minimum of 3+ years of relevant Workers' Compensation (WC) experience** required.
+ Strong subject matter expertise in appropriate **insurance principles and laws** for the line-of-business handled.
+ **Excellent oral and written communication** , analytical, interpretive, and negotiation skills.

**Pay Details:** $43.00 per hour
