About the role

As a Senior Java Developer - Microservices you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure applications tailored for the airline industry. You will be a valued member of the Engineering and Development team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will:

• Built scalable microservices using Spring Boot, Hystrix, and Eureka.

• Secured applications with OAUTH and JWT.

• Streamlined deployment via Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Boosted performance using EHCache, Redis, and unit testing.

• Collaborated cross-functionally to meet airline industry standards.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dallas TX. **What you need to have to be considered** .

• Java & Spring expertise

• Cloud & containerization (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Microservices architecture knowledge

• Authentication protocols (OAUTH, JWT)

• Airline industry domain experience

These will help you stand out.

• Front-end skills – Experience with JQuery, CSS, and HTML

• Experience with API Gateway – For managing and routing API traffic

• Familiarity with EHCache and Redis – For performance optimization

• Logging and monitoring tools – Like Apache Log4J

• Proficiency with build tools – Such as Gradle and Maven

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $102,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
