Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem Department: Rochester Regional Home Care   Location: Livingston County Hours Per Week: As scheduled Schedule: Days, 8:30 am to 5pm   SUMMARY: As a Speech Pathologist, your compassion, patience and dedication to assisting patients with their communication abilities greatly enhances their quality of life.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Patient Evaluation & Development. Meet the patient's goals and needs by providing quality, evidence based care; assess, develop and implement an individualized treatment plan

+ Patient Care. Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices/recommendations; instruct, encourage and assist patients in performing daily-living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices

+ Leadership. Develop the speech-language therapy staff; provide information, develop and conduct in-service training programs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology (may be MA, MS, Med)

+ New York State licensure

+ For recent graduates: Completion of at least 9 months supervised Clinical Fellowship year

+ Home Care Only: Current N.Y.S. Drivers License is required to drive own car in order to meet essential functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ 1 year experience in medical setting preferred.

+ For Long Term Care/ Elderone : 1 year experience with frail elderly population preferred.

+ Prior Speech-Language Pathology experience is preferred

+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

+ Kind and patient-focused

EDUCATION:

MS: Speech Pathology (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

CCC-SLP - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASLHA), SLP - Speech-Language Pathologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

$68,500.00 - $97,760.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
