    Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations, ensuring timely shipments, deliveries, and inventory management. This role requires coordinating with freight carriers, vendors, and internal departments, including handling international shipments and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will prepare necessary shipping documentation, maintain accurate inventory records, and support warehouse activities while optimizing logistics processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.

    + Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments with freight carriers, vendors, and internal departments, including international containers.

    + Support clearance of international containers, working with brokers as needed.

    + Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.

    + Prepare shipping documentation such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and packing lists.

    + Communicate with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams to resolve delays or discrepancies.

    + Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics metrics.

    + Use ERP systems to generate operational and performance reports for management review.

    + Assist in optimizing logistics processes for improved efficiency and cost reduction.

    + Support warehouse activities such as receiving, storage, and dispatch as needed.

    + Use logistics software or systems to track shipments and generate reports.

    + Utilize systems or route guides to optimize transportation spend.

    + Execute transportation savings strategies.

    + Assist with implementing and maintaining carrier contracts and required insurance.

    + Manage carrier rates for LTL, TL, and small package shipments.

    + Assist with carrier contract negotiation as required.

    + Support fleet compliance as needed.

    + Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of logistics experience.

    + Broker experience.

    + Shipping/logistics with international experience preferred.

    + Vendor relations.

    + Reliable customer service and vendor management skills.

    + Experience with BOL, shipping/data entry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination preferred.

    + Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

    + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Knowledge of import/export regulations is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This role is fully in-office from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with summertime hours every other week. Work may take place in both office and warehouse environments, requiring the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move items up to 25 lbs.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hr.
