    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to perform mechanical and plumbing design for a variety of projects including multifamily, K-12, municipal, mixed-use, and city supportive developments. You will coordinate with architects and clients, calculate load qualifications, and work effectively within a team environment alongside drafters and engineers.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical/plumbing design on multifamily, K-12, municipal, mixed-use, and city supportive projects.

    + Coordinate with architects and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

    + Calculate load qualifications using Revit and AutoCAD.

    + Collaborate effectively with team members including drafters and engineers.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

    + 5-10 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing design with an AEC firm.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in plumbing design.

    + EIT certification is a plus.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in our Chesapeake office, where you will work in a small, family-oriented environment of 12-15 people. Our office offers a laid-back atmosphere that encourages creative thinking, without micro-management. You will collaborate with Revit/CAD techs, MEP designers, and MEP engineers on projects spanning Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, Richmond, and the Outer Banks. Office hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a business casual dress code.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
