Power BI Data Analyst

The Power BI Data Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power-BI reports and dashboards to support the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team.
Work Arrangement
This role is hybrid and requires 3 days/week in the office in Newtown Square, PA
Responsibilities
• Gathering Business Requirements and collaborating with businesses to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Analyzing financial and operational data.
• Delivering attainable insights to improve revenue integrity, billing accuracy, and reimbursement efficiency.
• The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Enrollment, AR, and Data Solutions/ECA, to ensure data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support revenue cycle operations.
• Analyze data related to enrollment, billing, A/R, and revenue reconciliation to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Work with stakeholders in Finance, IT, and Ops to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating sources, troubleshooting discrepancies, and refining reporting methodologies.
• Optimize and enhance report automation, data extraction, and transformation processes to improve efficiency.
• Develop SOP and procedures for Power BI for governance and identify process improvements.
• Perform data cleansing and transformation using Power Query and DAX.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill team members in Power BI usage and best practices.
• Integrate data from data lakes into Power BI, ensuring seamless access and utilization of large datasets.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to team members, helping them troubleshoot and optimize their Power BI solutions.
• Stay current with the latest Power BI features and industry trends to continuously improve our BI capabilities.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall data strategy of the organization.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 or more years of proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling required.
Skills & Abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Candidate must complete an onsite Power BI skills assessment to evaluate proficiency in data visualization, DAX functions, report building and dashboard optimization in a real-time work environment.
