As a Systems Engineer, you will understand, guide, and execute systems engineering processes while collaborating with stakeholders and contractors to develop and integrate software capabilities. You will participate in the development and implementation of system engineering strategies, review and assess contractor deliverables for compliance with government regulations and standards, and support agile development activities within the Software Agile Framework (SAFe). Additionally, you will generate recommendations for system engineering, planning, requirements prioritization, design, and system integration, and provide integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions for technical problem resolution.
Responsibilities
+ Guide and execute systems engineering processes.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors for software capability development and integration.
+ Participate in system engineering strategy development and implementation.
+ Review and assess developmental contractor deliverables for compliance with regulations and standards.
+ Support government oversight of contractor engineering activities, including agile development paradigm activities within SAFe.
+ Generate recommendations for system engineering, planning, requirements prioritization, design, and system integration.
+ Provide integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for technical problem resolution.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 8 years of direct experience with system engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience with software development.
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
+ Active TS clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Cyber, DevOps, DevSecOps, RMF, Systems Integration, Systems Engineering, SAFE, Software Development, CI/CD Pipelines, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, Agile.
Work Environment
The work environment includes an office building a couple of miles off base at APG in Aberdeen, as well as a satellite office in Hanover, MD. The role requires an on-site work schedule with flexible start and end times, offering a 4 ten-hour days schedule. There might be occasional travel to different sites including NOVA, South, Midwest, and other locations. The position supports a program under the Electronic Warfare and Cyber (EW&C) Program, with a flexible hybrid work policy. Benefits include vacation accrual, paid holidays, full benefits, and potential sign-on bonuses.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67.31 - $120.00/hr.
