Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Geotechnical Engineer with a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a PE License. With over 10 years of experience in the geotechnical industry, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare technical reports, specifications, construction plans, and geotechnical recommendations.

+ Develop proposals and coordinate projects, manage client relationships, and oversee billing processes.

+ Provide mentorship, coaching, and review work for staff members.

+ Design support of excavation and conduct Plaxis 3D analysis.

+ Log borings and perform observations during construction projects.

+ Manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.

+ Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines.

Essential Skills

+ Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

+ PE License.

+ 10+ years of experience in the geotechnical industry.

+ Proficiency in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections.

+ Field experience in earthwork, driven and drilled pile construction, load testing, footings subgrade, backfill inspection, ground improvements, retaining wall design, and excavation support system design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Software proficiency in gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, Plaxis, MSEW, SHAKE.

Work Environment

Enjoy a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home two days a week. You will be required to travel locally for client meetings. Our Philadelphia office houses 90 employees, offering upward movement potential. Benefit from 2 weeks of PTO with comp time available, and enjoy free lunch every Wednesday and free breakfast every Thursday. Additionally, a $500 home office stipend is provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
