    Job Title: Electrical Superintendent

    Job Description

    The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for managing on-site labor, subcontractors, and craft personnel on utility-scale solar or battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This role ensures the quality installation of electrical systems while fostering strong client relationships through reliable, high-level service. Travel to project sites across the U.S. is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure high-quality installation of electrical systems, including underground cabling, mod-to-mod wiring, and DC collection systems, while overseeing both self-performed and subcontracted work.

    + Review drawings, submittals, and materials with the engineering team to ensure constructability, quality, and compliance.

    + Collaborate with the Construction and Project Managers to develop and update schedules, including 3-week look-ahead plans, and ensure crews have the necessary resources.

    + Supervise field teams and subcontractors, manage performance, and maintain quality control, safety, and productivity standards.

    + Coordinate with utility personnel and stakeholders to manage grid interconnection and site logistics.

    + Participate in project meetings and serve as a liaison between engineers, contractors, and craft workers.

    + Mentor and train field staff, forepersons, and assistant superintendents, while supporting hiring, evaluations, and team development.

    + Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site visitors, and provide input on process improvements and site efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

    + Proficiency in installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of DC and medium voltage cables.

    + Knowledge of current injection, Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, contact resistance, TTR, and other methods of cable and equipment testing.

    + Working knowledge of electrical drawings, sketches, and prints, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and vaults for collection systems, underground and pad mount transformer usage, and SCADA systems used in the power industry.

    + At least 2 years of supervising self-perform solar electrical experience.

    + Current driver's license.

    + Electrical construction experience.

    + Solar construction experience.

    + Construction management skills.

    Work Environment

    This role is performed in a field environment and requires travel throughout the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions supporting green energy projects. Physical labor may be required, including sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
