As the National Road Logistics Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Kuehne+Nagel’s road logistics strategy across the region. This high-impact position is designed for a dynamic and strategic leader who thrives on identifying growth opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and driving innovation in logistics solutions. You will serve as a key liaison between global strategy and local execution, working closely with Key Account Managers, operations teams, and technology partners to deliver tailored, value-driven solutions. Your mission is to accelerate revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and position Kuehne+Nagel as a market leader in road logistics through data-driven decision-making and collaborative leadership.
How you create impact
+ Lead strategic business development initiatives to expand Road Logistics services across North America, with a focus on high-potential industries and key accounts.
+ Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies in collaboration with National and Global Key Account Managers (KAMs).
+ Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market analysis, customer engagement, and competitive intelligence.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, pricing, and technology to design and deliver customized logistics solutions.
+ Drive the tender process by partnering with the Tender Management Team to improve win rates and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
+ Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline development, and ROI to senior leadership.
+ Represent Kuehne+Nagel at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote brand visibility and thought leadership.
+ Mentor and support junior business development staff and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
+ Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and customer expectations.
What we would like you to bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a business development or key account management role.
+ Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.
+ Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a B2B logistics environment.
We prefer candidates located in the New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas or Los Angeles areas, however, candidates in any city with a major airport may be considered.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data. #LI-PD1
