    Summary:

    The Commercial Portfolio Manager III - IF is the most advanced portfolio manager role in inventory finance. This role reports to Red Iron Acceptance, LLC a joint venture between The Huntington National Bank and The Toro Company and is based at the Toro Company’s national headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota. This position is responsible for building and leading a high performing team that delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong focus on risk mitigation and a culture of compliance. This role requires sound judgment and critical thinking to effectively manage customer satisfaction across dealers, distributors and the Manufacturer. The position is accountable for regularly reviewing portfolio performance, identifying areas of risk and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies. The leader will oversee a skilled team of Customer Relationship Analysts (“CRAs”), ensuring performance excellence through coaching, development and operational oversight. The role also involves close collaboration with peers and senior leaders and requires high engagement with stakeholders across The Toro Company to align strategic objectives and foster continuous improvement.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Lead the CRAs to ensure that the needs of the dealers, distributors, and manufacturer are met, and that program changes are identified.

    + Work in liaison with the CRAs as the primary point of contact for the dealers or distributors to resolve billing and other inquiries.

    + Conduct dealer reviews for exceptions, structural changes, credit enhancements and location changes.

    + Work on process enhancement initiatives with the credit teams to optimize the customer experience.

    + Support the General Manager and Managing Director by providing strong customer satisfaction across all dealers, distributor and manufacturer relationships by providing proactive support and effective issue resolution.

    + Work closely with the team to ensure program compliance, including follow up of file conditions, including financial statements.

    + Monitor daily tasks and cases to be sure that the team is paying attention to detail and managing activities proactively using the tools and technology available.

    + Manage all aspects of policies and procedures and ensure controls are implemented to mitigate risk.

    + Establish mechanisms to review and monitor potential non-accruals, high risk accounts, account specific interest waivers, charge-offs, defaults, accelerations, and terminations. Prepare recommendations, action plans, and potential outcomes to HDF and Red Iron management as appropriate.

    + Ensure timely communication of the dealer's needs, issues, and concerns to the appropriate manufacturer contacts, Finance, Credit, and Compliance teams.

    + Establish a regular rhythm of communication with the proper contacts as deemed appropriate. The communication may include weekly and monthly conference calls, meetings, and reporting.

    + Support dealer on-boarding processes which may include increases in credit line, product line additions, carve outs, etc.

    + Work with Compliance, Credit, Sales, and Loan documentation to ensure expedited on-boarding.

    + Communicate and monitor team compliance with established processes and procedures.

    + Work closely with HDF’s legal, compliance, and corporate risks team to ensure that established policies and procedures are being followed.

    + Attend dealer meetings and visits, manufacturer, and industry trade shows; participate in internal portfolio review meetings and or work on special projects as assigned by the Managing Director.

    + Manage all aspects of team leadership to include talent selection, performance management, coaching, feedback, training and developmental planning.

    + Develop and utilize effective mechanisms and tools for monitoring team performance and reporting results.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree or additional 5 plus years of inventory finance or commercial experience.

    + 15+ years of commercial portfolio management or credit in inventory finance/commercial lending.

    + 3+ years of team leadership experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Strong analytical and reporting skills.

    + Strong relationship building experience.

    + Ability to lead though influence.

    + Ability to work under critical time constraints. Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to perform highly detailed and accurate work on multiple, concurrent tasks.

    + Ability to positively lead, coach and develop teams and build successful relationships, internally and externally up and down the organization(s).

    + Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and delegate effectively.

    + Proficient at making and communicating decisions clearly and timely.

    + Expert knowledge of various software programs including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Tableau, business objects or other data analysis/reporting skills highly desired.

    Compensation Range:

    $102,000.00 - $208,000.00 Annual Salary

     

    The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
