    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated machine operator to oversee the extrusion machine that applies a plastic coating to bare copper wire, used in the manufacturing of copper coaxial cable and other wires for data transfer and communication. The role involves setting up the machine correctly for the product being produced, using basic hand tools for tooling adjustments, and ensuring efficient and accurate product flow.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor raw materials used in the extrusion process.

    + Identify and resolve issues to maintain product flow.

    + Conduct periodic quality checks using measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

    + Follow a set Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

    + Adhere to a Master Sheet for product scheduling and a Process Sheet for material handling.

    + Ensure close attention to detail and take measurements to ensure quality.

    + Document results on a computer.

    + Manage time effectively to move between stations, load/unload spools, and manage finished product.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in machine operation.

    + Ability to follow specific instructions.

    + Proficiency in using computers for documentation and tracking production.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Ability to follow basic written and verbal instructions.

    + Prior experience in production/manufacturing.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a very clean, climate-controlled production facility, although it can get warm. Safety-toed boots or shoes are required at all times, even during tours or interviews. The company has a dress code, which will be reviewed with candidates prior to interviews. Contractors work 12-hour shifts, with breaks provided by a relief person. The schedule allows for four nights off one week and three nights off the next.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $46280.00 - $46280.00/yr.

     

    this is a direct hire position. Most benefits kick in beginning of the month following hire month
