Job Title: Packaging Mechanic
Job Description
As a Packaging Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of production machinery. Your primary responsibilities will include repairing, performing maintenance, setting up, and troubleshooting production equipment. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and the quality of products.
Responsibilities
+ Repair, perform maintenance, set up, and troubleshoot production machinery independently.
+ Assist with parts and tooling changeovers.
+ Read and interpret inspection gauges.
+ Communicate engineering issues and create work requests.
+ Track and enter work orders via TPM EDGE.
+ Provide on-the-job training to Maintenance Mechanics Level I (C-Techs).
+ Operate a forklift with certification.
+ Open work orders and issue parts.
+ Clean, inspect, and lubricate high-speed equipment.
+ Rebuild machine/mechanical components.
+ Perform safety checks and follow lockout procedures on production machinery.
+ Ensure product safety and quality of goods produced.
+ Print and interpret production schedules.
+ Fill in as Team Lead when necessary.
+ Complete and email production logs as required.
+ Actively participate in safety training and mechanical procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
+ Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
+ Good vision for visual inspections.
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
+ Good attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
+ Ability to discern shades of color relating to component parts.
+ Physical ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift.
+ Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and stoop continuously throughout the shift.
+ Ability to hear warning signals/verbal alerts during manufacturing processes.
+ Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
+ Ability to read various inspection gauges.
+ Basic math and PC skills.
+ Fluency in Airless, pump room, and production lines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
+ Vision system operation.
+ Machine setup and changeover of assembly lines.
+ Repair and preventative maintenance.
+ Troubleshooting skills in electrical, packaging, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems.
+ Experience in production assembly lines.
+ Technical certificate or technical training required.
+ High School Diploma.
+ Associates Degree from an accredited technical program is required for progression to Maintenance Mechanic Lead.

Work Environment
Work in an existing manufacturing facility. Operations will be moved to NJ from Connecticut, with expectations of significant growth. Be part of a dynamic and evolving workplace.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Eatontown, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68640.00/yr.
