Job Title: Maintenance Millwright
Job Description
As a Maintenance Millwright, you will perform all levels of repair and precision maintenance on conveyors, belting, compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, structures, and all associated equipment. You will diagnose and troubleshoot problems, provide recommendations for repairs, and make critical machine and system adjustments. Your role involves removing and installing parts, disassembling and assembling components, testing and adjusting assemblies with minimal supervision, and modifying and fabricating machine systems using welding, cutting, grinding, and bolting. Additionally, you will test and verify the correct operation of all repairs and adjustments while documenting repair information in the company CMMS program.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct all levels of repair and precision maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, belting, compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and structures.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, provide repair recommendations, and make critical machine and system adjustments.
+ Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
+ Modify and fabricate machine systems through welding, cutting, grinding, and bolting.
+ Test and verify the correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
+ Accurately document repair and wrench time information in the company CMMS program, including Cause, Correction, Confirmation.
Essential Skills
+ Advanced knowledge in millwright duties.
+ Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques (ARC, MIG).
+ Proficient in hydraulic/pneumatic principles and application.
+ Understanding of lubricants and maintenance best practices.
+ Knowledge of machinery alignments both manual and laser.
+ Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, build prints, and engineering drawings.
+ Proficiency in using precision measuring devices including gauges, displays, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, alignment tools, levels, and torque tools.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude regarding structures, leverage, metallurgy, fasteners, rotating assemblies, gears, and material strength.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Highly skilled with hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, chain hoist, presses, metal saws, cranes, and rigging equipment.
+ Knowledge of heavy equipment including Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Manitowoc.
+ Friction crane experience is a plus.
+ Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) strongly preferred but not required.
+ Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
+ Availability to respond to call-outs as assigned.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85350.00/yr.
Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments within a pulley-conveyor system for the shipping and logistics industry. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet the demands of the role.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in New Orleans,LA.
