Job Title: Box Truck Driver

Job Description

As a Box Truck Driver, you will be responsible for loading your truck, driving to designated delivery locations, unloading products, and interacting with customers to ensure a satisfactory delivery experience.

Responsibilities

+ Load deliveries into the truck using a pallet jack when necessary.

+ Drive the box truck to various delivery locations, ensuring timely and safe transport.

+ Unload products at delivery sites, ensuring items are handled with care.

+ Engage with customers professionally and courteously during deliveries.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with box trucks and truck driving.

+ Proficiency in loading and unloading products.

+ Strong customer service skills.

+ Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift if needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.

+ Physical ability to lift items weighing 25 pounds or more.

Work Environment

The position is based in an older warehouse/storefront with a non-temperature-controlled environment. The atmosphere is informal and laid-back, managed by a branch manager who values a lighthearted mood. Work hours begin at 7am, with end times varying based on daily workload, typically between 2pm and 5pm. In case of inclement weather, drivers can work within the shop, assisting with tasks such as packaging and organizing. All trucks are equipped with a lift gate to facilitate easier deliveries.

This is a Contract position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
