Cherry Picker Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Cherry Picker Operator in the receiving department, where you will play a crucial role in operating cherry pickers and using RF scanners to manage inventory. You will be responsible for putting away and pulling products for shipping in an efficient and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

+ Operate cherry pickers and forklifts to manage inventory.

+ Utilize RF scanners and systems to put away and pull products for shipping.

+ Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

+ Perform order picking and inventory management.

+ Ensure safety protocols are followed while operating equipment.

+ Participate in weekly performance reviews and feedback sessions.

+ Handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing up to 70 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with RF scanners, cherry pickers, and forklifts.

+ Ability to read and write in English.

+ General warehouse experience, preferably in the picking department.

+ Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

+ Experience with computers and scanning equipment.

+ Ability to work independently and possess problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ On-the-job training is provided.

+ Forklift recertification available.

+ Willingness to work weekday and weekend overtime as required.

+ Comfortable working at heights of 15-20 feet.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic distribution center dedicated to scientific equipment, serving schools, hospitals, and medical labs. Join a team of 100-120 employees divided into receiving, picking, and shipping departments. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with an average of 45 hours per week. Be prepared for 10-hour days early in the week and working at heights, as racking extends 15-20 feet into the air. Dress code requires comfort with safety gear for operating forklifts and other equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
