Aerotek is seeking a Pump Shop Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Pump Shop Supervisor to assist the General Manager in shop administration tasks and oversee various operational duties. This role involves entering daily hours and inspection hours, assisting with estimating, printing RFQs, working with vendors to obtain material pricing, checking work orders, requesting quotes for materials, running purchase orders, processing closing work orders, and building repair items.

Responsibilities

+ Assist the General Manager in administrative tasks within the shop.

+ Enter daily hours and inspection hours accurately.

+ Assist with estimating and printing RFQs.

+ Collaborate with vendors to obtain material pricing and request quotes for materials.

+ Check and manage work orders.

+ Run purchase orders and process closing work orders.

+ Coordinate with the machine shop for incoming and outgoing work.

+ Build and manage repair items.

Essential Skills

+ Pump Shop Experience

+ 8+ years of supervisory experience

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment

+ Proficiency in coordinating work with machine shops

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

+ 3 years of experience in vendor and customer communication

+ Proficiency in scheduling, Excel, customer service, order entry, order processing, and Microsoft Office

+ Skills in clerical work, purchase order management, SAP, administrative support, mortgage handling, Microsoft Excel, administration, administrative assistance, inventory management, and typing

Work Environment

The main site is a medium-sized facility with 35 total shop personnel, offering a new and climate-controlled environment with high standards of housekeeping. Work hours are from 7am to 4pm, with some overtime as needed, including occasional Saturday work. The workforce is aging, but employees are eager to share their knowledge. Steel toes, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses are required. The day shift runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with potential overtime.

This is a Permanent position based out of Port Arthur, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
