    Job Title: Shipping Lead

    Job Description

    As a Shipping Lead, you will spend the majority of your time working with the ERP system, JD Edwards. You will supervise team members to ensure daily shipping requirements are met, create BOLs and shipping labels, and work from computer systems procedures, purchase orders, and established shipping methods. Additionally, you will be responsible for counting, weighing, and checking outgoing shipments and reporting any shortages or defects.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise team members to meet daily shipping requirements.

    + Create BOLs and shipping labels.

    + Work from computer systems procedures, purchase orders, and established shipping procedures.

    + Count, weigh, and check outgoing shipments, reporting shortages or defects.

    + Package, strap, weigh, and label shipments.

    + Operate internal computer system for status and tracking of products.

    + Maintain established quality and quantity standards.

    + Follow prescribed safety precautions, company policies, and departmental procedures.

    + Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, and defective materials.

    + Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

    + Maintain daily production and other records as required.

    + Oversee shipping and receiving staff and all outgoing shipments.

    + Communicate daily with warehouse team to ensure inventory consistency.

    + Ensure orders are completed and processed efficiently.

    + Process shipping labels and carton labels.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    + Back up Supervisor in their absence.

    Essential Skills

    + Solid computer skills.

    + Excellent communication skills.

    + Experience with ERP systems, specifically JD Edwards.

    + Minimum of 2-3 years of shipping experience.

    + Certification to drive forklifts or ability to pass certification exam during initial trial period.

    + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift certification.

    + Experience with EDI and UPC.

    + Knowledge of inventory systems.

    + Experience with shipping software such as Fedex, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarders.

    + Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The work shift is Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment. Employees will work in a warehouse setting with typical manufacturing conditions.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
