    Job Title: Temporary Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team temporarily in Adrian, MI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment, contributing to safety improvements, and supporting key projects within the automotive sector.

    Responsibilities

    + Promote a safe working environment and implement or participate in safety improvements.

    + Support the assigned zone to meet target metrics.

    + Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic (PLC) issues.

    + Perform all levels of preventative maintenance and maintain maintenance log books.

    + Participate in assembly equipment tool changes.

    + Support special projects such as machinery moves, launches, and continuous improvement.

    + Document work performed in a clear and concise form.

    + Participate in TPM events and apply concepts in daily activities.

    + Complete assigned work orders.

    + Perform basic Fanuc/ABB robot maintenance: touch up points, re-master, service/PMs, change out motors/cables.

    + Coach and mentor new skilled trades team members.

    + Proficiently handle weld adjustments, weld quality basics, helium leak test troubleshooting, and hydraulics + schematics.

    + Understand and apply LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) concepts, methods, devices, and instructions.

    + Train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices.

    + Advise when standard work instructions do not cover a necessary specific activity.

    + Stop production when a quality or safety issue arises.

    + Engage in physical activities such as walking, sitting, climbing, and lifting up to 33lbs regularly.

    + Work under varying temperature conditions as required.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of Maintenance Technician experience.

    + Experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing plant electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic PLC issues.

    + Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, particularly with 480v and 3 phase motors.

    + Ability to work with PLC control systems and perform PLC troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with safety relays, light curtains, and drive troubleshooting.

    + Knowledge of Siemens S7 for connection and troubleshooting.

    + Ability to perform a risk analysis before LOTO and work performed inside machines.

    Work Environment

     

    The work takes place in an automotive plant that supplies gas fuel tanks to major automotive companies. The plant maintains a clean and temperature-controlled environment, ensuring a comfortable and safe working space for all employees. Shifts are available on the 2nd (3pm-11pm) and 3rd (11pm-7am) with no shift premiums.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.63 - $33.45/hr.
