Job Title: Machine Operator- Spanish Speakers Welcome!

Job Description

Operate food mixing, blending, and packaging machinery to support a food manufacturing facility. Ensure adherence to established safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines, including performing changeovers.

+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

+ Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.

+ Regulate machine flow or speed.

+ Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of mixing, blending, and/or packaging machine operator experience.

+ GMP

+ Ability to complete changeovers on machinery.

+ Ability to speak Spanish.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs (if blending role, filling/cartoners do not need this).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to assist maintenance team with PMs and minor troubleshooting of machinery.

+ Mechanically inclined.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean environment that smells like a coffee and bakery shop, adhering to GMP standards. The facility features mostly gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment, well-lit spaces, and ample room for expansion. Shifts available: 1st Shift from 5:30 am to 4:30 pm and 2nd Shift from 4:00 pm to 3:30 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
