    About the Job

     

    Manage, plan, execute, analyze, and communicate results of activities related to process monitoring.   The Mine Process Technician role is responsible for measuring and tracking process performance against MLC standards and industry best practices.   This role will gather data, analyze, and update stakeholders about current process performance.

     

    + Lead MLC user of Exyn Technologies UAV and handheld systems: responsible for 3D mapping of Peerless Mine and other areas as required and manage data collection, processing, exporting to formats useful for end users.

    + Lead MLC monitoring programs to support internal standards and industry best practices, including but not limited to:   Borescoping holes   and Chemical sampling of Roof Control holes, faces, and benches as required.

    + Backup Surveyor for supporting ongoing MLC operations

    + Work to preserve MLC’s ability to continue to serve community and industry

    + Be a leader in modeling safe working practices and dedication to MLC Core Values

    + Maintains focus on the goals of the role, adaptable to unplanned changes

    + Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    + Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associates/Bachelor of Science or trade school in area related to job responsibilities preferred.

    + Experience: Experience operating manlifts/trucks/light equipment preferred. LIDAR surveying systems and associated hardware and software. AutoCAD/Surveying with Trimble equipment/UAV Pilot or familiarity preferred. Total Station surveying systems and associated hardware and software. Familiarity/experience working with point cloud data preferred.

    + Skills: Computer literacy and technical aptitude. Must be able to learn and develop new practices and techniques.

    + Abilities: Able to lift up to 60 pounds. Able to work at heights for extended periods of time. Able to work extensively in an unground mine.

    + Travel: Willing to travel between MLC sites as needed (expected <5% travel)
