Job Title: Sprinkler Foreman

**Job Summary:** The Sprinkler Foreman is responsible for fabricating, installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing water, foam, and dry chemical sprinkler systems in buildings to ensure fire protection.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Interpret drawings, specifications, and fire codes to determine layout requirements.

+ Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and fire protection equipment using hand and power tools.

+ Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipes; install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipes in supports.

+ Join pipes and piping sections using grooving and threading equipment.

+ Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.

+ Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment.

+ Test systems for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.

+ Service and repair sprinkler systems.

+ Prepare cost estimates for clients as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

+ Interest in working with mechanical systems and keeping skills up to date.

+ Strong mechanical and mathematical abilities.

+ Manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina.

+ Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and complex instructions.

+ Analytical approach to problem-solving.

+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

+ Attention to detail and precision in work.

+ Commitment to safety and a responsible work attitude.

+ Skills in excavation may be required.

+ Ability to frequently climb ladders and perform bending, squatting, and twisting motions.
