Admissions Counselor - Visitors Center
Position Description:
Represents Texas Tech University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, staff and faculty of area high schools and community colleges to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals. Coordinates and contributes to the success of various visit schedules for area high school and community colleges in the assigned area. Plans assigned recruiting events and program. Counsels prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the university. Title is reserved for use in the TTU Undergraduate Admissions department.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Represent Texas Tech University at high school and community college day/night programs in the Lubbock area as needed.
+ Partner with Alumni Association, Parent and Family Relations, and other campus community offices in university side student recruitment efforts.
+ Assist the Visitors Center with daily campus visits and on-campus recruitment events.
+ Assist with coordination and facilitation of group campus tours.
+ Assess and generate market approaches and evaluate potential student markets to achieve stated university recruitment goals.
+ Communicate effectively with the prospective students, parents, and counselors through meetings and admission presentations in office, at school visits, or during college/high school school programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Valid driver's license. Experience in recruitment or admissions desirable. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. Public Relations experience. Must be approved to drive state fleet vehicles.
