    Coordinator

    Position Description:

    Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Develop and deliver college awareness workshops and presentations for K–12 students, educators, and families in local and rural school districts.

    + Coordinate with school counselors, educators, and district leaders to embed college knowledge and access programming into school curricula or extracurricular opportunities.

    + Serve as a resource liaison for parents and guardians, particularly in underrepresented communities, to support their understanding of the college process, from academic preparation to financial aid literacy and student support services.

    + Collaborate with Campus Access & Engagement staff and student organizations to organize campus visits focused on exploration and learning, including accessibility tours of CAE units and experiential learning days.

    + Create relevant materials and programming to reflect the needs and realities of differing rural and local populations.

    + Maintain relationships with community-based organizations, regional education service centers, and nonprofits to support shared goals in educational opportunity.

    + Collect feedback and assessment data from K12 students, parents, and stakeholders to continuously improve outreach approaches and measure community impact.

    + Represent Campus Access and Engagement at regional educational events, conferences, and advisory boards related to K–12 access.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in education, community engagement, social work, or related field.

    + Demonstrated experience working with K–12 students, families, and/or school systems, especially in rural or underserved communities.

    + Strong knowledge of college access topics such as college readiness, first-generation student support, and comprehensive education practices.

    + Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and communication skills; bilingual proficiency strongly preferred.

    + Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.

    + Experience with Title I schools or working with first-generation college-bound students.

    + Understanding of accessibility services and resources for students with disabilities.
