Murrey’s Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a **Lead Swing Shift Diesel Mechanic** in **Fife, Washington** .     Compensation & Benefits

    Hourly Pay

    + $37.00 – $43.00+ per hour (based on experience)

    Premiums

    + $1.00/hour Lead Premium

    + $1.00/hour CDL Premium (for valid CDL-A or CDL-B holders)

    Tool Allowance

    + $125/month

    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership

    + Supervise and support swing shift mechanics

    + Assign tasks and monitor progress

    + Lead daily safety talks and enforce safety policies

    Shop Operations

    + Prioritize and assign repairs

    + Manage shift coverage and break schedules

    + Oversee work orders and vehicle condition reports

    Fleet Maintenance

    + Diagnose and repair diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems

    + Use diagnostic tools (e.g., Cummins INSITE, Davie-4, Allison DOC)

    + Perform preventative maintenance and MIG welding

    + Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment

    Qualifications

    + 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck repair experience

    + Proficient with diagnostic software and basic computer skills

    + Must have personal tools and toolbox

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments

    + CDL A or B preferred (not required)

    + Welding experience is a plus

    + Strong communication and leadership skills
